Early Childhood
Módís was born in the village of Fyth about a day's travel west of Gridania. It was a typical Viera village filled with nothing but females. The males did their duty and protected the village along with coming back to pick up the young males as well as for breeding. Módís's life would be met immediately with tragedy as they never knew their mother for she died giving birth to the young Viera.Due to this, her older sister Zophía was the one that raised Módís. One of the peculiar traits of Módís was that unlike most Viera who live in the Wood that have hair the color of snow, Módís had purple hair even stranger was that as the hair grew out and lengthened it would turn pink instead.Módís was an extremely curious and caring individual. They were always exploring or trying to help those in need even if it put themself at risk. Many times Zophía would have to come find the young Módís who would fall asleep in the center of the village which had a clearing that allowed them to look up at the stars. They were always happy and smiling until one fateful night...

Tales of Loss and Fire...
One night Módís was shaken awake by their sister, the look on Zophía's face was one of panic thinking only how to keep her younger sibling safe."Zophía, what's wrong?" The young Viera asked as they were picked up out of bed not even given time to get out of their pajamas. They weren't given an answer as Zophía rushed out of their home and Módís was finally able to see what was wrong. The village was on fire. They were being attacked by an Ixal tribe who wanted more territory in the Wood. Zophía ran from the village holding Módís tightly until she got far enough away knowing she couldn't abandon everyone."Módís, you have to run now! Run the the edge of the Wood where I showed you the way to Gridania just in case. I'll meet you there, I promise..." Zophía gave no time for her younger sibling to answer as an Ixali arrow flew by the head of Zophía. She turned to face her attackers as she drew her staff and started channeling magic. "GO! I can't protect you here, and I can't bear to lose you like this!"Módís knew that their sister would not act like this unless it was out of desperation, unless she had no other choice. The young Viera ran as fast as their legs would carry them, tears streaming down their face as they wondered if they would ever see their sister again. They ran until they finally saw the edge of the Wood, the furthest from home they had ever been. They stopped at the edge of the treeline and looked to the east...
Everything Left Behind
It was still the middle of night as Módís sat with their back to a tree looking to the east towards where Gridania should be. 'Zophía said that she would meet me here. She promised even...' thought the young Viera as they wiped the tears from their eyes, 'I just need to wait and she'll show up. She's never broken a promise before.'To a seven-year-old who was terrified, minutes felt like hours, hours felt like days. They were unsure of how much time had passed but saw light start to come from the rising sun to the east. They stood up and looked back into the Wood. Biting their lip, they looked into the east towards Gridania."I-I have to make it to Gridania. She promised but...she wouldn't make me wait this long." Módís said as they took one step out of the Wood and stopped, their eyes widened as they realized just what they were about to do. Vieras typically left their name behind when they left the Wood even if it wasn't by force."I need a name, a new name..." They had no idea how to choose a name. The only idea was that they wanted to keep at least the first letter of her current name. "Mid...Midna? Midnalot?" They shrugged, it was good enough. Their mind was exhausted and stressed beyond anything they had felt before. Vieras weren't given a surname as they just were given the name of their village but that also would be left behind. They looked at the light seeing the last moments of twilight. "Twilight...Midnalot Twilight..."They nodded as they began the walk towards Gridania leaving everything behind including their name...
